A Volvo Loaner.
An Unsecured Gun.
A Safety Promise Tested.
My family was given a Volvo service loaner with a gun inside. My four-year-old son rode in that vehicle. Then Volvo said the dealer was separate.
This is why I call it #VolvoSafetyHypocrisy.
A Volvo “Trusted Team” dealership gave my family a loaner with a gun inside.
A previous customer had left the gun in the vehicle 11 days before.
My family was given that loaner anyway. TWICE in 2 days.
My 4-year-old son rode in that vehicle.
The Volvo “Trusted Team” dealership says loaners are checked before and after each use.
A member of "Trusted Team" dealer lied directly to the police.
The dealer pointed at me, claiming the gun was “just more than likely” mine. The gun was not mine.
Volvo Cars USA denied wrongdoing or liability for the “Trusted Team”.
“Trusted team.”
“Separate dealer.”
Volvo Legal vs. Volvo Marketing on loaners safety
Volvo says it does not control dealer loaner inspection, preparation, custody, or turnover.
Volvo promotes service as part of staying safe at "Trusted Team" dealer and advertises “our fleet of new Courtesy Vehicles” at “our Service Center.”
Volvo-branded safety experience in marketing. Dealer-only problem when something goes wrong.
Volvo sold safety as a premium brand experience.
But when danger happened inside that experience,
Volvo said the dealer was separate.
I am sharing this so Volvo owners and families considering Volvo can see the full picture — not just the safety marketing.
